Rule 3 - Don't be a religious transphobic A## H@##! - Weaponizing religion is disgusting and wrong
OK.... back to rules.
This one should be easy for all true Americans to follow but for some reason it isn't.
The Declaration on Independence - First Amendment says
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
To me this is perfectly clear. YET. YET we have Christian Nationalist who believe Their god, their religion should be in government, in the schools, in all public spaces.
This is offensive, Deeply Anti-American, and just plain wrong. The National Anthem we all sing at sporting events we herald "Land of the free" yet.. the idea that only english speaking, Christian following people are allowed or should be allowed, or that we should all be bound to and blindly follow a religious book...is well... crazy, at best.
It goes against my rights, all peoples rights. It assumes one god on a planet full of gods through out time. It assumes a god exists and it assumes everyone has no rights to decide or think critically about any of this.
WORSE this religion is being used to marginalize and oppress minority groups who just want to have the same rights and liberties as everyone. You know...the ones promised in the founding documents of this country.
And I'm tired of the "well it says love thy neighbor but... then it also says x, y and z". you know what. so does every @#%@#% other religious book for many many religions and gods (plural). Additionally a good christian (if there is such of thing) would actually read all of the book, not just the select "push a political agenda" snippets that confirm a result that some horrible person or persons are trying to achieve. Weaponizing religion is disgusting and wrong.
When as a human race do we realize and thick critically that ...hey wait a minute. books are written by a bunch of people sitting around a fire, with nothing else to do and a whole other set of world conditions and LACK OF KNOWLEDGE. Like literally people used to think that thunder was giants in the clouds bowling, and the earth was the center of the universe, and that the world was flat (well some still do). Yet...we know better now. We aren't so F#@#%ing dumb anymore (well some of us).
And to be real to weaponize a religion to control people and to decide WHO can exist and who can't. To use religion to drive hate and fear; possibly arrest, and move people to concentration camps, prisons, to murder and bodies burned in furnaces (that happened to millions). Is horrific. (The Heritage Foundation and people like JKR. which I have talked about in prior blogs...looking at you).
My argument and my DADS was that there is no god. What god would allow MILLIONS of people to suffer and die at the hands of a maniac and do nothing? don't give me the "well god gives everyone the ability to decide their fate" that is weak sauce at best and just more bull @#%#% ontop of bull @#%#%. Conclusion. There is no god. Humans do what they do to other humans because they have hate and fear in their hearts and minds. That is it. period. done.
Also who said God (if there was one) is a White Man? like literally who made that call. This is all so full of @#%@#%. And Which God? India culture has many gods, same with China, Japan, Africa, there are gods all over the world. but no...christian god..thats the one. Sigh... everyone has been brain washed and nobody can think for themselves anymore. and honestly this is why TRUMP and the gestapo is also attacking universities and not funding public schools, weakening public systems, and rewriting history. They don't want a population who thinks. they want dumb people that believe the earth is flat who are easily stirred into a mob (Jan 6th, MAGA looking at you).
What do we do about it.
First Educate yourselves about religions of the world. Second start thinking about the broader scope of things. Ask Critical questions. Don't get your answers from one pool and good answers come from many sources of truth not just from some white guy at the front of a group of worshippers picking the "lesson of the week" of what they want you to hear or think.
Bottom line.
Don't be a brainless zombie, don't be an @#% hole. Don't be an oppressive POS.
Think before you post hate and fear and laugh at memes where people are fighting for equality, to be loved, seen and have basic rights. Don't be a troll or a wife of a troll that blindly follows the troll you married. In fact if you are married to a troll that tries to control your mind, thats abuse! I'd say leave the troll as soon as you can.
Finally, Be nice, there is nothing to fear but fear itself. Make the world a better place, inclusive. There is enough space for all of us. The pie isn't limited. and when one pie gets eaten we have 4 more on the table and we can make more. Don't just push your religion as the truth..cause it is not. Also if I know anything about true christian faith it would not be hating, teaching fear, and being used to oppress, Rather it would be welcoming, loving, and embracing of all people.
Just be good, we are all made from the stuff of stars and when we die, we go back to it. We are all one, stop the hate, the fear, the oppression and embrace your humanity.
