Transgender Liberty

 I recently started getting back into social media because I am resting at home healing from surgery and I don't have a whole lot I can do but lay in bed.  So....I started doing social media and what a dumpster fire some of it is. Especially Facebook. As I get into Facebook, groups, channels, streams, reels, posts, I am blown away at the LACK of intelligent conversation, the LACK of civility between people the lack of moderation and mediation...There is none. Its a Mush Pit Two examples Fox News News that talks about Murders of Transgender Women 1 - Fox News..... I was on a Facebook post/stream via Fox News, Saturday night regarding what is going on with ICE and protesters at a detention center in N.J. and the Rage and the hate in that channel was staggering towards a woman governor. The amount of  "Fuck that Bitch" "Hang Her" "Cunt" "Skank" "Take her out and...."  on and on.. all from men, mostly white men. you get the idea here. l...

   About 7 years ago I was with my partner and my son... and we were out. Summer, exploring new trails in the deep woods and just being a family...living...getting out of the house. Finding fresh air and enjoying the weather and the quiet and I suppose each other. Being good people. Then it happened. A really large aggressive bug... some kind of hornet or wasp...started buzzing and attacking my son, my son was little,  so I swatted at it with my hands to get it off my kid and then it started attacking me. I backed away and it would not leave me alone. I was locked on and targeted. LOL Terminator bug.  And keep in mind we are on a trail in the woods and this trail went on for miles.  So I ran ahead on the trail thinking, its a bug it will buzz off...it would give up and then fly away.  OK.... back to rules. This one should be easy for all true Americans to follow but for some reason it isn't. The Declaration on Independence - First Amendment says " Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,  or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech,  or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. " To me this is perfectly clear. YET. YET we have Christian Nationalist who believe Their god, their religion should be in government, in the schools, in all public spaces.  This is offensive, Deeply Anti-American, and just plain wrong.   The National Anthem we all sing at sporting events we herald "Land of the free" yet.. the idea that only english speaking, Christian following people are allowed or should be allowed, or that we should all be bound to and blindly follow a religious book...is well... crazy, at best.  I...

This one sucks the most.  I'm gonna tell a true story.  I ran into this thinking mindset from someone I was once very close to.  The; "I'm not convinced" statement.  To start I reached out to someone I was trying to re-build/reconnect a relationship with, to rekindle something good. I reached out (not the first time) and told them my truth, gave them my name, my pronouns, reminded them I am still that awesome person, just the body the gender has changed  and backed it up that many people they know have accepted and embraced me. And I know they had seen current photos of me. It was OBVIOUS. I am a transgender woman. Duh..... So to sum up... I reached out after years of distance, hoping things had changed they had time to process things after years (I had tried before a long time ago), gave them a nice letter, stated facts, didn't ask for permission. Told them I would love to connect and re-establish a relationship BUT only if they can support me being me.  I...

  This one drives me crazy too. "But Little girls shouldn't have to face dangerous men in the bathroom" OMG..... this is aboout the worst argument ever and comes 100% from fabrication and fear.  Site 1 case where a TRANS Woman or Trans Man assaulted a little girl or boy in a public bathroom? ZERO. ZERO ZERO. NONE. It is Fabricated FEAR and Bull SH1T. Also Bathrooms are not about genitals. There isn'a PENIS only door and a Vagina Only Door! there is a do you present as a man, or do you present as a woman" thats it. And lets talk about what bathrooms are for. ALL HUMANS and ALL ANIMALS PEE and POOP. Thats it. We are biological and we have to get rid of waste and we all agree to use a bathroom to do it, if possible. Thats it. It is not glamorous, it is not dangerous, it IS just a place to relieve body needs and move on. Yet JKR(TERF), Trump (white sex criminal and convicted felon),  White Nationalist organizations (Heritage Foundation); they stir the pot. why? here ...

I transitioned a while back, and then worked to align my gender, with my world. My Work recognizes me as female, the SSA, my BC, my taxes, my government, my children, my ex wife, my cousins, my nieces and nephews, my grand children, and one of three siblings recognize me as female. But then there are those that throw out the old tired comments "well my faith", or "men in a woman's bathroom and the poor little girls...", or "men shouldn't compete in women's sports..that man broke that woman's nose!!", or the worst "I'm not convinced" translates to "You have to convince me".  look at any bathroom and there isn't a vagina or a penis painted on the door it is a picture of gender presentation. Period. It is time and time again proven by records and documents that transgender people are not the problem in bathrooms.  ok so.... an update I tried reaching out to my siblings to build a relationship and found 1 of 3 accepts me as me. 33%... not bad.  I was disappointed though that I couldn't turn the boat. I couldn't get the other 2 to step back and say... "OK....this is new but I love you and I See you and I support you" Instead I got the old tired lines of bathroom fear, and sports fear, and men aren't women and women aren't men (binary), and my religion says love thy neighbor but this changes everything.  And I got more shit like "I'm not convinced" thats the worse by the way. suggesting I have to convince them or prove myself to them or get their approval before I can exist! WTF.  From another sibling I got silence which is fine. because they heard me. I said "Hey I need people who support me, people in my life who would not vote my existence and my rights away and if you can't do that then it is fine we don't have to have a relationship". ...

 I'm watching a Show on Apple TV (Streaming) called "Shrinking" and have found it to be heart felt, full of substance that feeds the mind and heart and is just thought provoking and contemplative regarding the meaning of love, forgiveness, support, being a flawed human in an imperfect world surrounded by flawed and imperfect humans...making more flawed and imperfect humans. That was a lot...   I won't give any spoilers away, and I WILL urge you to spend 15 bucks and get it for a month because I think you would enjoy it. We need more shows like this and fewer transformers and batman movies. Like how many of those can they make and remake? OK Here we go ...
