Shame - Poem 2

Another Poem cause thats where I'm at these days

Shame

Shame is such a sinister thing

Seeping into every mistake we make

Echoing and reminding us of our failures

Shame is a knife others might use to stab us in the back

Coming from everywhere and unexpected places

Shame has weight and  presence

Clouding thoughts with ill intent

A permanent unwelcome companion

Reminding us we are not good enough

Shame, I don't think I really want to know you
