The Raven And The Squirrel - Making Noise Isn't Enough

I was out for a walk, 6 am, June, cool but great weather, clear skies and the sun rising bringing warmth and the day.  The trees to my left are all pines, a couple hundred feet high and above one of them was a medium sized black bird flying in circles around the top, squawking and making a racket, diving close but never landing.  The Bird was panic'd calling for help possibly Curious... I kept going on my walk which eventually would pass by this particular tree.  Getting closer I could see there was something up on the tree throwing down what likely was part of this birds nest. Something was destroying this birds nest and doing worse. And...most likely a Squirrel. Nature was being brutal. I kept walking... leaving that scene behind me and it came to me that these organizations and people in positions of privilege and even those that support them are a lot like that predator, that squirrel. They don't give a F about me or you or rights or anything. No conscience at a...

Shame - Poem 2

Another Poem cause thats where I'm at these days Shame Shame is such a sinister thing Seeping into every mistake we make Echoing and reminding us of our failures Shame is a knife others might use to stab us in the back Coming from everywhere and unexpected places Shame has weight and  presence Clouding thoughts with ill intent A permanent unwelcome companion Reminding us we are not good enough Shame, I don't think I really want to know you

The Prostate Argument - Another Example Of Transphobic Bigot Ignorance

If you are Transgender or a Transgender Rights Supporter you have probably come across transphobic comments. Comments like "They are a Man in a dress" "They have a prostate so they are a man" All of them ignorant of the bigger picture, generally these trolls relying on what they heard from fox news, or joe rogan, or the Right Wing Nationalist (Nazi Fascist) propaganda pod cast/radio show (pick one). So...let us talk about the prostate argument. It goes like this Bigot : "They are a man in a dress cause they have a prostate!" This is an easy one to defeat and here is why. Champion of Truth: Surprise!!! Women have a prostate too. Ya... WOMEN HAVE A PROSTATE TOO!   The Skene's gland is considered the female homolog of the prostate gland.  Facts: Shared embryonic origin. Both structures develop from the same embryonic tissue (the urogenital sinus). They're the same basic structure, just differentiated by hormonal environment during development. Sam...

The Geometry of Hate - Why Women All Women Must Unite - Why Fox News IS Part of the problem

Image
I recently started getting back into social media because I am resting at home healing from surgery and I don't have a whole lot I can do but lay in bed.  So....I started doing social media and what a dumpster fire some of it is. Especially Facebook. As I get into Facebook, groups, channels, streams, reels, posts, I am blown away at the LACK of intelligent conversation, the LACK of civility between people the lack of moderation and mediation...There is none. Its a Mush Pit Two examples Fox News News that talks about Murders of Transgender Women 1 - Fox News..... I was on a Facebook post/stream via Fox News, Saturday night regarding what is going on with ICE and protesters at a detention center in N.J. and the Rage and the hate in that channel was staggering towards a woman governor. The amount of  "Fuck that Bitch" "Hang Her" "Cunt" "Skank" "Take her out and...."  on and on.. all from men, mostly white men. you get the idea here. l...

The Wasp And Fighting For Existence

About 7 years ago I was with my partner and my son... and we were out. Summer, exploring new trails in the deep woods and just being a family...living...getting out of the house. Finding fresh air and enjoying the weather and the quiet and I suppose each other. Being good people. Then it happened. A really large aggressive bug... some kind of hornet or wasp...started buzzing and attacking my son, my son was little,  so I swatted at it with my hands to get it off my kid and then it started attacking me. I backed away and it would not leave me alone. I was locked on and targeted. LOL Terminator bug.  And keep in mind we are on a trail in the woods and this trail went on for miles.  So I ran ahead on the trail thinking, its a bug it will buzz off...it would give up and then fly away. It didn't..... so I ran and ran and ran, and every time I paused and turned around..this crazy insect would eventually catch up. WTF like it would not give up. and I had fear that i...

Rule 3 - Don't be a religious transphobic A## H@##! - Weaponizing religion is disgusting and wrong

OK.... back to rules. This one should be easy for all true Americans to follow but for some reason it isn't. The Declaration on Independence - First Amendment says " Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,  or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech,  or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. " To me this is perfectly clear. YET. YET we have Christian Nationalist who believe Their god, their religion should be in government, in the schools, in all public spaces.  This is offensive, Deeply Anti-American, and just plain wrong.   The National Anthem we all sing at sporting events we herald "Land of the free" yet.. the idea that only english speaking, Christian following people are allowed or should be allowed, or that we should all be bound to and blindly follow a religious book...is well... crazy, at best.  I...

I"m not going to listen to facts, I don't believe you, I'm not convinced - Part 3 - I need to be convinced

Image
This one sucks the most.  I'm gonna tell a true story.  I ran into this thinking mindset from someone I was once very close to.  The; "I'm not convinced" statement.  To start I reached out to someone I was trying to re-build/reconnect a relationship with, to rekindle something good. I reached out (not the first time) and told them my truth, gave them my name, my pronouns, reminded them I am still that awesome person, just the body the gender has changed  and backed it up that many people they know have accepted and embraced me. And I know they had seen current photos of me. It was OBVIOUS. I am a transgender woman. Duh..... So to sum up... I reached out after years of distance, hoping things had changed they had time to process things after years (I had tried before a long time ago), gave them a nice letter, stated facts, didn't ask for permission. Told them I would love to connect and re-establish a relationship BUT only if they can support me being me.  I...
